King of the Alps Tour 2017

The French Alps have been home to some epic cycling battles between the worlds greatest cyclists with a history hosting the worlds greatest bike race spanning 100 years. This tour usually takes in at least two stages of the Tour de France.

The tour always includes the chance to take on some of the epic climbs of France including Alpe d'Huez, Col du Galibier, the Joux Plane and a host of other mountain passes.

The trip in 2017 will be 11 nights and broken into 3 separate areas in close proximity of each other allowing you the chance to ride the famous climbs you have seen on TV, with minimal driving transfers between areas.

Climb famous mountains like Alpe d'Huez, the Galibier, and the Joux Plane. They are all within striking distance of our hotels.

Race viewing at one stage of the worlds greatest race will be included. The tour will start in the heart of the Alps and a chance to ride some of the most amazing rides in France.

We also cater for non-cycling partners. Please contact us directly regarding non-cycling activities available for this tour. There is also a small price reduction for a non-cyclist.

Bike Hire:

We have a limited amount of Scott full carbon bikes for hire.

The price for an Alps Tour bike hire is NZ$580.00.

Historically this has been one of the hardest tours we have and involves some intense mountain rides.

For 2017 we have reformatted this tour to reduce transfers and spend more time taking on the epic rides available in the Alps.

While you don't need to be a racer you will need to have a reasonable standard of fitness to enjoy this tour.

We take a maximum of 12 persons on this tour.
