It is not just the guys at Kiwi Style Bike Tours that believe South Australia is one of the best places in the world to ride a bike. Our customers who have ridden in Europe also rate the riding around Adelaide as some of the best they have done.

Its a touch of Tuscany in Australasia less than five hours from New Zealand and at the portion of the cost of a European airfare.

This tour is 7 nights long with 7 fantastic rides that take you through an amazing variety of terrain, sights and to some of the most famous of towns in South Australia.

Each ride takes you on a new route and through beautiful South Australian towns such as the German influenced Hahndorf, Tanunda in the Barossa Valley, Glenelg by the sea, and McLaren Vale.

Cafe stops are scheduled on most rides each day.

This tour is suited for people who have a love of biking, cafe culture and great sights.

We can also tinker with our ride plans to suit specific group booking as well.

Location:

Depending on what trip you book the tours will be based in either Glenelg or Hanhdorf. Lovers of the sea will prefer Glenelg as their base as you can cool off in the sea after each ride.

People wanting a quieter location will prefer the village of Hahndorf (There is a pool at the hotel).

Highlights:

  • Summer in South Australia.
  • A cafe stop in Hahndorf.
  • Riding in the Adelaide Hills.
  • The Beautiful Barossa Valley.
  • The ride all the up Mt Lofty.
  • Organic Pizza's!

Intensity Rating:

While not as intense as a ride in the French Alps there is no real easy ride around Adelaide. The rides are dominated by rolling roads with minimal long flat sections.

You will need to have a reasonable standard of fitness to enjoy this tour. Some rides can be shortened to suit more social riders.

As we mark each ride out there is no need to slower riders to try and stay with the faster guys and girls. Just follow our arrows and enjoy your ride!
